Seriously Big Blooms has got to be one of my most favorite sets out of the Spring Mini! (yes, even more so than the Doodle sets!) I so love these flowers!! I chose chocolate chip cardstock for my base and Rose Red to layer with. The patterned paper is Basic Grey Phoebe - and talk about YUMMY - I am totally in love with this paper! *wink* The flowers are covered in dazzling diamonds and have supah sparkle! The tab is the round tab punch from the spring mini (okay, so I can't get enough of the spring mini!) - thanks was stamped with Craft White using my Karen Foster Snap Stamps. Kitchen Renovation Pics!
I finally decided to post pics of my kitchen renovation! I still lack trim and baseboards and my new mini-blinds but other than that it is FINISHED! We have a pretty large kitchen and the way the floorplan is, it's just hard to get some really good pictures. I have a before, but it is only of where the kitchen table sits, but you will get the idea! Just imagine early 1980's lovely (ugly) OLD brown flooring and VERY dark ugly wooden cabinets - this WHITE is just what my kitchen needed. This was a lot of very hard work, but I think it looks fabulous! :)
I have been showered with BLOGGER RAK'S!
Wow, the last day or two have been amazing Happy Mail days! I have gotten about 6 or 7 amazing Blogger RAK cards just in the last two days..........here are a few of them - I will post the others tomorrow! :) I truly have some really amazing blogger buddies - I am so lucky!

This adorable card was sent to me by none other than my wonderful friend and fellow SCS'er Beate Johns! Beate has become a great friend of mine and I just adore her creations - she is so talented and has become quite the blogger extraordinaire! If you haven't checked out her blog, it is a definite must. Thanks so much Beate, I absolutely love it! :)

This totally adorable card came from another one of my wonderful friends - Asela Hopkins! This is not only a Blogger RAK, but it is also my birthday card from Asela (my birthday isn't until the 31st). I absolutely love the little kitty! This is a great card Asela, I love it - thank you so much for sending it to me and wishing me a happy birthday! Check out Asela's blog if you haven't already!

This cute card with the bling on the flower is from one of my very first blogging friends, Cindy Keery! Cindy is amazingly talented and is crafty way beyond just stamping - this chick can bake, sew and quilt! She has some really wonderful stuff on her blog so run and check her out! Thank you so much Cindy for the card and the lovely words inside! :)

This lovely card is from another amazing blogger friend of mine, Kristine Breach! Kristine is also very talented (obvious from looking at the card). She has a heart of gold and is an absolute joy to get to talk to. Check out Kristine's blog and see what I am talking about. Kristine thank you so much for this card - it is sooooo cute! I loved that cuttlebug background so much I just ordered one for myself and it should be here anyday!
Happy Doodle!
I absolutely love my new Doodle This set! I decided to pair it with my favorite color - Cool Caribbean! I matted the Cool Caribbean on Elegant Eggplant and used my slit punch to make the scalloped center. I used my blender pen and Cool Caribbean reinker to watercolor the flower. Everything is accented with my white Signo gel pen and stickles for sparkle! The ribbon of course is from Jody's ribbon share - yummy! Can't wait for my Doodle That stampset to arrive.............I am already stalkin' the mailman! I will be back tomorrow with some wonderful Blogger RAK happy mail! :)

Oh Joy, New Goodies!
My Polka Dots and Petals and my new chocolate patterned paper from the Spring Mini FINALLY came today - I have been stalkin' the UPS man! *wink* I had a few spare minutes tonight and thought I would sit down and make a simple card using mainly patterned paper - I am really loving this paper - it's gorgeous! I have a new resolution to stop hoarding all my lovely SU paper and start putting it to use on my creations. :) I used chocolate chip craft ink for the flowers, silver brads for the center of the flowers, my scalloped circle punch, sentiment is a $1 stamp from Michaels and Cindy Ribbon from Starlitstudio Ebay Store - she has some really delish ribbon! I have several new stamps sets and I promise to get busy making some new cards. :)
My No Layer Doodle!
My Doodle This set came today when the UPS man delivered my huge box of goodies! I have been waiting a while to get to play with this set. I decided to challenge myself to do a one-layer card - those are really hard for me to do because I have a layer addiction. *wink* I watercolored everything with my blender pen using Taken with Teal, Ballet Blue, Marigold Morning and Rose Red. I added some rhinestone bling to the bottom of the card and everything else I covered with Stardust Stickles - it is so sparkly IRL. This card turned out beautiful! The sentiment is from the Happy Harmony set. I seriously have got to clean off my stamping space, it is horrific! I will do that this afternoon so I can sit down and play with some of my new goodies!
Happy Mail!
Look at all the Blogger RAK's I received in the mail today! I couldn't believe I got THREE in one day! woohoo!

This beautiful Blogger RAK came from Marie McClellan. I just love this card Marie - it is so cute and I saw it on your blog when you posted it! I love how simple and elegant that it is. Thanks so much for making me the lucky recipient!

Oh boy a cuttlebug Blogger RAK! This card is from Charmaine - I just absolutely love that background and have been trying to get a hold of one of these for my cuttlebug - gotta have it! Charmaine thanks so much for this great card, I love it!

This adorable Blogger RAK came from my friend Julie Phillips! Is this card not just adorable? I love the blue and coral together and I love the stampset she used - Julie, this card is just fab - thank you so much for sending it to me! It's going up on my wall :)
THANK YOU LADIES!
Stacked Cupcakes
This is one of the cute little Michael's dollar stamps I got this past weekend - it is so cute! I just had to mask them so they look like they are stacked. I used Tempting Turqoise and Certainly celery - the ribbon is just to die for - it is from Michael's - and comes on a cute wooden bobbin. I bought a couple of those! For the background I used the background stamp from Polka Dots and Paisley then colored in a few of the circles with my white gel pen. The layered background is of course done with my cuttlebug, then I sponged on some tempting turquoise. I cut the ovals using my creative memories oval cutter and mat - I have had the circles and ovals for several years and found they work great for my card creations. I doodled! I doodled around the edge of the oval and believe it or not it actually came out like I wanted it to. *wink* I don't doodle very much because I don't think I am that great at it, but maybe practice makes perfect. The brads are the jumbo brads from Hobby Lobby and the sentiment at the bottom are my karen foster snap stamps.
Simple, but Sweet
My first card since my demolition in the kitchen started a week ago (it's not quite finished, still working on all the little things - trim, lighting, etc.). I made this card for my Stamp Club group swap and since I was pressed for time, I decided to go the "simple" route - but I still think it came out great. I used my cuttlebug for the background (which I dearly love!). Those Happy Harmony flowers are just amazing - and they look great in Taken With Teal! I am starting to feel under the weather, which isn't a good thing - I have been fighting a cough, runny nose and a stuffy head for the last day or so and today it seems to be getting worse and of course this week is my vacation - that just figures! I planned on stamping and working in my yard some because the temps are supposed to be in the 70's this week, but who knows now. I hope all of you had a wonderful weekend and I will see you tomorrow with something new! :)
Yes, It's a Sickness!
Robyn and I returned from our overnight trip and had an amazing time! We went to tons of great stores, Michaels, JoAnn, Hobby Lobby, etc and had some great food to eat! I got so many goodies - the stuff in the picture is just a sample lol There were some wonderful "cool caribbean" tins that I got from the Target dollar spot and a clear glass jar that I filled with the wooden spool ribbon from Michael's that I couldn't get in the picture. I did get some extra $1 stamps for blog candy :) Well I am off to get my things ready for tomorrow's stamp club meeting - check back tomorrow for something *NEW* to be posted!
HAPPY FRIDAY! Today is the day! I am headed out of town this afternoon for the big City of Arlington, Texas for a girls weekend getaway with my friend Robyn! I am so excited and can't wait to leave! We have planned to hit a lot of stamping/scrapbooking/craft stores and of course all of those yummy restaurants! My stamping club meets on sunday afternoon so I should have something new and cute to post since I know you all have been waiting so long. :) And YES, I am almost ready to post pictures of my kitchen. See you soon..........
A Cutie Patootie Blogger RAK!
Lookie, Lookie what I got - check out this adorable Blogger RAK I received today in the mail from none other than my friend Cindy Brockes (stampalicious) aka Cindy Lou Who on SCS! Cindy had a contest going a couple of weeks back on her blog - it was a contest to name this cute little long-lashed fishy stamp! I got in on the contest and threw in the name "Flirty Francesca"............well low and behold Flirty Francesca won and Cindy sent me several stamped images of Francesca - they are way cute! Thank you so much Cindy for sending me this cute RAK! Go check out Cindy's blog - she is so talented! :)
A Very Special Blogger RAK
I received this very special Blogger RAK card in the mail today from a very close and dear friend of mine, Laura Leonard (LuLa's Corner). This card is not your normal run of the mill RAK card - it is much more than that to me. You see, this particular card is the VERY FIRST card that Laura ever made when she first started stamping - and she wanted me to have it. I must admit when I opened it and read what she wrote inside I started to cry - it really touched me. Laura, this card will hold a very special place in my heart and I feel so honored that you wanted to share it with me. Love ya bunches!! :)
Update on the Kitchen: I am ALMOST completely finished! I am doing some of the final touchups to the flooring and putting up new blinds and new hardware on the cabinets - as soon as I get all that finished and get the baseboards on I will post some pictures of my handywork! lol
I do have something exciting (well to me anyway) to share with you - this coming weekend I will be heading out of town to Arlington, Texas with my best friend Robyn for a girls weekend of retail therapy! We will be hitting Michael's, Hobby Lobby and a ton of other places and of course we will be eating at some of the greatest restaurants! lol I am also on vacation next week so I will be able to create some new stuff for all my faithful blog readers out there!
Kitchen Still Under Construction! Well I have been MIA now for a couple of days, but that is only because for some stupid reason I decided that my kitchen needed to be renovated!!! I have been working tirelessly for the last several days and I am hoping to see an end in sight soon! I am now trying to finish laying the flooring and getting everything put back where it goes. My body is aching and I am missing my stamping time. Don't fret, as soon as I get this job completed I will be back with some great new creations! Hugz!
