I'm Moving!

Well, not literally - but my blog is moving! I have decided to make the move on over to Typepad. I have been working on my Typepad blog on and off for a couple of weeks trying to get it ready - there's been a lot of sickness in my house and a lot of DT work, but I finally finished it and it's up and running. My blog address will stay the same with the exception it will say typepad at the end instead of blogspot. The new address is: http://www.inkinitupwithkendra.typepad.com

Happy Friday!

I am soooo glad it's Friday, this has been one long work week! I am still finishing up Valentine card orders and have been working non-stop to get those finished so I can move on to some other projects and DT duties I need to get to.

Here is another favorite color combo of mine that I don't use near enough........Pumpkin Pie, Taken with Teal and Cool Caribbean - of course I had to add a splash of Tres Jolie DP. I needed to make a few birthday cards and pulled out my MFT Icing on the Cake set - love, love, love this cupcake image and yeah that "starburst" background image is another one of my faves!

Don't forget about the new release party in the Gina K. Designs Forum on SCS this Sunday evening between 7-10 central. You won't want to miss all the new goodies because they are TDF!!!

Be My Valentine

I am still trying to finish up my valentine card orders - WOW, there have been a bunch! I truly love this color combo and have been wanting to reach for it every single time. Don't even get me started on the SU! 5/8 Grosgrain ribbon - I LOVE that stuff!!!! I have ordered a gob of it and I still feel like I need more! baahaa

I grabbed a couple of different MFT sets to make this card - Be Mine, Icing on the Cake and Hearts Galore. I grabbed my copic markers and colored the box of chocolates - then used my clear glaze pen to go over the chocolates and my white gel pen to create "icing" on the darker chocolates. It looks yumm-o!

My Favorite Things (www.mftstamps.com) is having a New Release Cocktail Party today, February 6 from 9-11 p.m. Eastern time. Lots of fun is planned including finding out how YOU can be the next MFT Guest Designer. Head over to the MFT forum to find out all the deets!

Egg-stra Special Easter MFTeaser!

Okay seriously, check out that bunny............is he not the cutest?!!! I absolutely LOVE his ears!!! Blog Candy!

I had my one year 'Blogaversary' back in November and completely forgot to celebrate with some Blog Candy, so I decided it was about time!

This past year has been absolutely amazing creatively speaking (personal, not so much lol). I have made so many wonderful lifelong stamping friends, joined some amazing design teams and grown in my stamping art beyond my wildest imagination. Kelsey's Baby Shower Invitations

Here is a peek at my niece's baby shower invitations that I promised I would show you last week. Her theme is jungle animals, so I thought the adorable elephant from MFT's 'It's a Jungle out There' would be perfect! And of course I had to color him blue. Dusted off Living Large

So I was sitting at my stamp table last night and was staring at my gobs and gobs of SU! stampsets and thought I should grab one of my "oldies" and get some ink on it.............I decided to use Living Large. I remember back when I first saw this set, I HAD to have it!! I haven't used it in so long, but I still adore it and won't part with it.

Who can resist Regal Rose, Real Red and Chocolate Chip paired together? Well, apparently not me - I want to reach for it everytime I do a Valentine card! The background is stamped with the heart from Priceless. I went crazy with my paper piercer on this card........I was doing faux eyelets and faux stitching like a mad woman - baahaha! I made several of this particular card for you guessed it, a card order.

Domestic Goddess - Hanna Sneak Peek!

Isn't Hanna the Domestic Goddess, just the cutest thing ever?!!! The minute I saw this set, I knew it would be a winner! I had such a blast coloring her! Isn't she gorgeous with her bling while she is cleaning?! She will make her debut on February 1 at Hanna Stamps.

Good Monday Morning!

I hope you all had a fabulous weekend - I sure did. Robyn and I got together again this weekend to do some stamping/scrapbooking...........well I stamped and she worked on her scrapbook. I used to be a huge scrapbooker, but when I found stamping that sort of took a backseat. I love the instant gratification I get from my stamping - it takes me forevah to get a scrapbook page completed.

This is one of the cards that I worked on while I was at Robyn's. I just got my pack of SU! Jersey Shore DP on Friday (it's delish!) and decided that I wanted to make a card using the Happy Heart Day set, but didn't want to make a valentine card. This card just goes to show you that you can use this set for anything, not just valentine cards. I absolutely LOVE this color combo........and I always forget about pumpkin pie......it's such a yummy color!

I also got started on the baby shower invites for my niece, Kelsey. They are gonna be just adorable! I will post a peek at those soon!

A Sneak Peek and Some Good News!

Say hello to Riley Moose!! He is the newest line of stamps from Hanna Stamps. Riley will make his debut on February 1. Isn't he just too cute?! Riley is in his comfy chair holding a cupcake just for you! I had such a great time coloring Riley with my copics - I added a little stickles to the cupcake, his cheeks and of course his cup of cocoa! The Riley Moose stamps are mounted red rubber and they are of fantastic quality - the image stamps crisp and clean. The sentiment is from Things Hanna Would Say.

Happy Friday & Happy Cupcake Day!

It's finally Friday and I am so ready for the weekend. It has been a really long week - I was just getting used to a few days off here and there during the holidays - having to work a full week just stinks! I don't really have anything planned for this weekend except getting some stamping done. My good friend Robyn is coming over tonight so we can stamp - she and I haven't done that in a long time so I am looking forward to it.

I made this card to go with an assorted birthday card order that I received a few days ago. I decided to use Icing on the Cake from MFT for this particular card. I just love the cupcake and the cake plate from this set! The background is stamped with the "starburst" from the set and the DP is the new digital paper from My Favorite Things - I love this stuff! You can print as much as you want and the quality is just amazing. I used the faux eyelet technique on the scalloped circle punch - just use your paper piercer to pierce the hole, then use your gel pen to go around the hole - this technique is sooooo easy and supah cute.

Be Mine

This is another sneak peek of one of the newest sets that will be released tonight from My Favorite Things - Be Mine is the mini of the month. I love this box of chocolates - I colored the chocolate box with my Prismacolor Pencils and Gamsol and used my copic markers to color the chocolates - then went over the chocolate with my glaze pen. I used the "starburst" stamp from MFT's Icing on the Cake for the background on the larger and the smaller panels. I LOVE this color combo - I guess I should use it more often!

A Little My Favorite Things Sneak Peek!

This is a little sneak peak of one of the newest MFT sets that will be released on Wednesday at midnight - it's called Punny Farm! Punny Farm is just amazing and all of the animals are just TDF! It was so much fun to color all these animals with my copic markers (which you can also get on the MFT website). I usually decide on my color scheme and my card layout before I ever do any stamping or coloring, but in this case I did it the other way around and it worked out perfect! I love the color scheme I chose and of course that polkadot ribbon just polished it off!

High Hellos Thank You's

Yesterday my stamps from Lizzie Anne Designs arrived - High Hellos. This set is just way too cute. I absolutely love this topiary tree!!! I received an order for a set of 6 thank you cards and I decided this topiary would be perfect to use. I had so much fun coloring the topiary with my copics!

Just Because

I have been wanting to try to make a "ribbon blossom" - my good friend Pam Bassett is the creator of these amazing bows. Mine doesn't hold a candle to hers, but I think it turned out okay. She has a great tutorial on her blog that shows you how she makes her ribbon blossoms - you have to check it out!!

I used Rain or Shine by MFT to make this card.......my Tres Jolie DP was the perfect match and thought it would look great with her polka dot rainboots. Paper piecing is so much fun! I added stickles to her dress and her rainboots and of course the little weenie dog's shirt - very sparkly! I also used Crystal Effects on the rain puddle.

I received a few more card orders yesterday so I better get busy. Have a great weekend!

It's Finally Friday

I have been looking forward to Friday all week - weekends are my favorite time as I get to lounge around, stamp, sip on hot spiced tea and I don't have to leave the house if I don't want to! I am really glad the holidays are finally over and I can get back to a somewhat normal routine and work on some DT projects and card orders without feeling supah rushed!

My best friend's daughter is having a baby in a couple of months and I am going to be making her baby shower invitations and working on all the shower favors, etc. I am so looking forward to getting to work on those. I better get to work on those soon as she will need 50+.

This sympathy card was for a card order that I got a few days ago. I haven't made many sympathy cards so I wasn't sure what direction I wanted to go. After much thought I decided to go with Purely Pomegranate and Chocolate Chip - these two colors are so elegant together. I used Icing on the Cake from My Favorite Things for the borders around the sentiment. The sentiment is also from My Favorite Things and is in the Essential Sentiments set. The roses are from the Sweet Celebrations set from Hanna Stamps.

I will be playing all weekend and will have more things to post tomorrow!

Another Sneak Peek

I thought I would show you another sneak peak from the newest set that will be released this Friday from Hanna Stamps. It is way cute and you can use this set for more than just a valentine's set- it has some really great images! I love the Close to Cocoa paired with the Real Red and Pretty in Pink. This card was so easy, but I think looks elegant - yep that 5/8" grosgrain ribbon is my fave!

I hope you all had a happy new year! I can't believe it's already 2008! I am ready to embark on my new life as a divorced person and I hope this is a better year for me than the last.

Valentine's Day Hanna!

This is the newest release from Hanna Stamps that will be available this Friday, January 4. This set is just too stinkin' cute! There are 14 different stamps in this set and they are all amazing! I colored Hanna's dress with my copics then went back with my Regal Rose Stampin' Write Pen and made polkadots all over her dress. Her purse has stickles and a dot of Liquid Pearls. Her necklace and earrings are also liquid pearls. I also gave her polished toenails, which are really hard to see in the photo. Yep, Hanna is sporting a short "do" in this set, but don't worry she will soon make another debut with longer locks! I used Chocolate Chip, Regal Rose, Pretty in Pink and Purely Pomegrante - these colors are Yummo together!!!! I will have more DT sneak peeks throughout the week.

Altered Lunchpail Tin

This is a lunchpail tin I decorated a couple of weeks ago - it was ordered by one of the teacher's at Morgan's school. I think it turned out really cute - I wanted to keep it for myself! *wink* I filled it with fifteen cards, envies and of course a matching pen. She loved it!

I will be working on several projects over the next few days for some sneak peeks for the My Favorite Things and Hanna Stamps new releases, you won't want to miss these because the newest sets are amazing!

We are just a few days away from a brand new year! I will be giving away some blog candy in a few days to celebrate the new year and to celebrate more than 200,000 hits to my blog since I started a little over a year ago!! Keep your eyes peeled!

MERRY CHRISTMAS!

I haven't posted in a few days - I have been taking care of Morgan, trying to finish my christmas shopping and attempting to finish the projects I have been working on. I finally finished! lol

This is an Elzybelle card I made a few weeks ago for a card order and for my stamp club and I completely forgot to share it - so here it is. I just love these little girls carrying the tree, it is just sooooo cute! I have so enjoyed working on my christmas cards and was sad to see them go. I just love christmas!

Thank you for all your kind words and emails concerning Morgan's surgery - she did well and is starting to recover - she is still having some pain, but we are keeping that under control. She is eating and drinking well - that's a great sign! I hope 2008 is much better for her and her throat infections are down to a minimum!

Have a great Christmas and enjoy the time with your family! I will be back in a day or two.

Happy Holidays!

Can I just say how much I LOVE this image?!! It was the main reason I bought Big on Christmas. This card came together so easily and looks really elegant IRL. This is one of my personal christmas cards that I sent out this year. I colored and cut the tree out and popped it up on dimensionals and added a few red gemstones - the rest of the letters are covered with stickles - sooooo sparkly! I am scrambling to get the rest of my gifts completed and the rest of my cards mailed out - I think I need a few more hours in the day! Morgan will have her surgery in the morning - once we get home and I will post and let everyone know how it went. Have a great day!

Chillin' - Just for Me

I am FINALLY making some christmas things just for myself - well actually for me to give away. I made a few of these to add to my christmas cards that I will be giving out - I made several different christmas cards this year, instead of making them all the same. This has to be my absolute favorite card I have made so far. I wasn't sure about the color combo when I was putting everything together, but once I finished - oh, I was in love! The set is Baby It's Cold Outside by MFT! I used Tulip Puffy Paint for the snow and dazzling diamonds on the snowman, hat and scarf - it's soooo sparkly! I still have a few christmas presents left to purchase and wrap and a few projects to complete.

My daughter Morgan will be having a tonsillectomy this Thursday morning, she has been having chronic tonsillitis for the last 5 months and pretty much gets sick at least once a month - it's awful! She has missed several days of school since the beginning of the school year. The dr. says that the surgery will make her feel so much better and have less illness - I'm all for that! Keep her in your thoughts :)

Perfect Package Hanna

This is the newest release from Hanna Stamps and it is absolutely TDF! Perfect Package - You can use this set year round, not just as a christmas set. This would make great birthday cards! My DD's have so many cute socks so I couldn't resist giving Hanna some polka dot socks! I colored Hanna with my copics and then gave her some sparkle with my Cotton Candy and Xmas Red Stickles. I made a few of these to use for my christmas cards. I am still working on all my christmas gifts and my christmas projects - I'm swamped!

Merry Christmas Lizzie Anne Style

I bought Holiday Cheer from Lizzie Anne Designs a couple of weeks ago and hadn't had the chance to get any ink on it. I was finishing up some christmas cards on Sunday and decided I needed to pull it out and make a few cards. I paired it up with Kraft and Purely Pomegranate. I used Dazzling Diamonds on the trees (they are sooooo sparkly!) and stickles on the background. I have been hoarding this satin pomegranate ribbon - I just hating cutting into it because I only bought one roll! (what was I thinking?)

I am finally seeing some light at the end of the tunnel in my card orders - I still have yet to finish my own christmas cards, I am hoping to have those completed by the end of this week. I still haven't finished my christmas shopping and we are having our work christmas party tomorrow and I still haven't bought my chinese christmas gift! Oh and did I mention I need groceries?!

Stamp Club Projects and Hanna's Tree

I love this tree from the Tis The Season set from Hanna Stamps. I wanted to make a fairly simple christmas card because I had so many to make and decided to use this tree - this card is gorgeous IRL - I added dazzling diamonds to the tulip puffy paint before I heated it with my heat gun - it's soooo sparkly! I added some red gemstones for ornaments. Wild Wasabi and Real Red is a great traditional christmas color combo.

I have stamp club today and made several different projects to share with everybody......we are making peppermint pattie sandwiches with the scallop circle punch, refrigerator pad magnets with jr. legal pads (jr. legal pads cut in 1/2 at my local kinko's) and post it note holders - these all make great handmade christmas gifts. These ideas are all a mixture of several items I have seen on SCS. The Ornament gift cards are soooo cute - see Sharon Johnson's blog - hers are amazing! I got my idea for the post-it note holders from my very talented blogging friend Angie Juda - this girl has some great SU! stuff let me tell ya! These holders are made with square coasters.

It is sooooo cold here today - we are in a winter storm warning and we are supposed to be having freezing rain later today - this is great stamping weather!

Happy Friday!

I am sooooo glad it's Friday! My work week (job that supports my stamping habit) is about to end and I can relax and get to work getting my projects completed! I still have so many to get finished.............my stamp room is in a complete disarray!!! Wait, let me rephrase that - my stamp room is a complete mess and looks like a bomb exploded! It is so awful I can't even begin my next project, which means I will have to clean first and then start the process all over again! lol I can't find anything and I can barely move - there's just stuff everywhere! I am definitely not a neat stamper.

This card was for another order that I completed - the sentiment is from the Verve Visual set Wonderful Wishes, the punch is from Martha Stewart and the DP is Basic Grey.

A Productive Weekend!

I worked (played) so hard this weekend and got so many orders filled it was just amazing! No, I am not finished yet, I still have several more to go! Yep, I gave in to the Elzybelle craze a couple of weeks ago and purchased these cute little girls carrying a tree - aren't they just adorable? They remind me of my girls.

The color combo kind of just evolved and after I got it all put together, I thought WOW! I used Soft Sky, Always Artichoke and Certainly Celery - those colors are just amazing together. The background snowflake stamps and sentiment are from Verve Visual and they rock - you can find Winter Wishes here. Julee is super sweet, has fast shipping and her prices are great. I couldn't resist and pulled out my Janome Sew Mini and did some stitching around the edges of the card. I am gonna make a few more of these for myself for my personal christmas cards. I have much more to share through the week so stay tuned!

Movin' Right Along........with more card orders!

Yes I have been supah busy (I like it that way!).........I have been filling all the orders I have been getting like crazy! This particular card was an order I filled for a pack of thinking of you cards. I love this color combo - cool caribbean, wild wasabi and basic gray. I am very thrifty with my cool caribbean - I do have 4 packs in reserve, but what happens when I start to run out???! I don't even want to think about that! *wink* Once this order got delivered she showed her other friends at school and now I have more people wanting similar cards.

One of my very best friends, Traci, is a teacher/coach at one of our Jr. High's, she is always going on about my stuff and loves to "peddle" my creations - she has definitely gotten me a lot of business. :) I am making her something very special for christmas, she just doesn't know it yet (I hope she isn't reading this lol). My other bestie (or beastie as Susan would say!), Robyn, had surgery yesterday and is on the mend - I am gonna make something for her as well. Hi Robyn - get well soon!

When I ordered this set from Papertrey, I couldn't wait for it to arrive! When it finally did I was so excited and knew it would be one of the sets I would use for the majority of my christmas cards. This particular card was one of many that I made for a customer who ordered christmas cards from me - she loved them! Baby Shower Invites
These are the baby shower invite pocket cards I have been working on all weekend. I had to keep them fairly simple since I had to make 50. They turned out just how I wanted and I hope she loves them! I used the Oh Baby stamps from Lizzie Anne Designs - they are supah adorable! I used Blush Blossom and Barely Banana it's a great girlie color combo. Taylor's ATC Swaps

Taylor VanBruggen invited me to join in on her ATC swap a couple of weeks ago and I gladly accepted. ATC's are a blast to make and are sooooo fast and easy! I signed up for two different spots - the Hambo swap and the My Favorite Things swap. In the first ATC's I used the adorable Bra stamp from Hambo - isn't it just the cutest?!! If you don't have it, you need it! In the bottom ATC's I used the tree and sentiment from Home For The Holidays from MFT! Crate Tote

I finally decided to make one of these adorable totes that we've been seeing all over SCS. Leslie Miller has an amazing tutorial on her blog - check it out here. Great Stamping Friends!
Here are a few cards that I received from some amazing stamping friends of mine. I told you about them a few days ago and am just now getting around to posting them.

This beauty is one that came to me from an MFT swap that I was in. It was made by my wonderful friend Pam Bassett (4hounds)! Isn't it a beauty?! I absolutely love the dimension! MFT Halloween ATC's

I joined a Halloween ATC swap a couple of weeks ago that my good friend Laura Leonard was hosting - this was my contribution to the swap. I don't do ATC's that often and I don't know why, because they are so quick and easy! I used SU! shimmer paper, so the spiders look sparkly. I can't wait to get everyone else's ATC's and see what they came up with. Good Morning Everyone!

I have been busy creating cards to post on my blog and also getting started on my Christmas Cards - wow, that's an undertaking in itself. I normally don't start my Christmas Cards until late November, so I'm ahead of the game! My camera that I borrowed was borrowed back and I hopefully will have it today so I can take some pics. of my most recent work - I've got some cute Halloween stuff to post. After Cambria's post about the Janome Mini Sewing Machine being on sale with free shipping, I just had to run over and buy one. It finally came and I have been a sewing maniac! I have been sewing/quilting for several years, but for some reason my Brother Sewing Machine just wasn't doing the trick on my cards - so I NEEDED the mini machine! bahhaaa! Thanks Cami for the enabling! :)

I received an email from Take Ten Magazine this morning that I have been published and will be receiving my complimentary copy! I am seriously stoked about this, since this is my first time being published. I haven't a clue what card/cards were picked up b/c I sent several, but I guess I am about to find out! woohoo!

I have recently received some really beautiful cards in the mail - one from my friend Katy Clark (katydidnt on SCS) who I met at the Arlington SCS shoebox swap a few months back. Katy sent me a beautiful card with some touching words inside - I can't wait to post her card. The other cards I received were from a My Favorite Things Swap I joined in on - there were some supah cute cards! Priceless Meets Papertrey

I have had my SU! Priceless stampset for a few weeks now and finally decided it was time to show it some love. I needed a project for my stampclub this weekend and decided on a giftcard holder. This giftcard holder was inspired by the supah talented Kristina Werner - that girl has some great stuff! The giftcard fits nicely inside the little strip of soft sky that is adhered to the bottom, I also used a small strip of velcro to hold the card shut. I am in love with this color combo! Wasabi and Soft Sky together rock! Yes, I am having difficulties putting down my scallop circle punch, I want to use it on everything. I had a pretty good weekend, but it went too fast - can I have a do-over? lol

Happy Hump Day!

Geez am I glad we are one day closer to Friday - I have been fighting my strep throat all week and now I have laryngitis to top it all off!! I am looking forward to sitting down at my craft table and getting some birthday gifts made. I sat down this weekend and got out my MFT It's a Jungle set (one of my new faves) - this set is so much fun to play with. I adore 3-d, so I decided to color these two sweet little animals with my copic markers and then cut them out and attach them with some dimensionals. This card is sooo much cuter IRL. The background is Sky Blue cardstock and the leaves/vines/grass are stamped in Always Artichoke. Have a fabulous Wednesday!

MFT's It's Elemental!

I got my It's Elemental set from Kim a while back and finally had the chance to get some ink on it! This set is amazing - I absolutely love it! You can do so many amazing things with this set. I decided to pair it with some of my basic grey DP and wowza, it matched perfectly! I also had to test out my new SU! photo corners punch I just got - I love it too! The sweet sentiment is from Verve Visual Thoughtful Phrases. I wish I could take credit for this amazing layout - but it's actually one of the Sketch Challenges on SCS - #143 to be exact - and this sketch rocks that's for sure! I got quite a bit of stamping done this weekend, even though I got sick yesterday with a sinus infection and have been sick every since! Yuck!!! I still feel bad today and have an appointment to see the dr. this afternoon. I hope I get better soon because I am in better spirits these days and think I have my Mojo back! :)

New Stamp Company Design Team Excitement!

I have been waiting to share this news for quite some time now and finally I can let the cat out of the bag.....................I was asked several weeks ago by the supah sweet Kristi Ferro if I would be interested in joining her design team for her new stamp company - Hanna Stamps. I, of course, said YES! The minute I saw the first stamp set I knew it would be a winner - you all are going to so love these stamps!!! The Hanna Stamps website is still under construction and will be going live on Friday. Go to Kristi's blog and check out all the links to the design team member's blogs - there's some really cute stuff posted! I already have a sample made up with the first stampset and will be posting that this evening along with my newest sample using some of the new MFT stamps that Kim sent to me (they are uber cute!). The Think Pink Breast Cancer Awareness mini set is just adorable - 50% of the proceeds of the sale of this set will be donated to breast cancer research - what a great thing! Hello to all you girls and an explanation.............

Hello to everybody, I have missed posting for all of you and I have missed not being able to stamp the last couple of weeks. I have had a ton of emails wondering if I am okay and if I am still alive. Well let me tell you, just barely. I don't normally talk too much about my personal life on here - mostly just my stamping, but I decided it was about time I tell you a little of what has been going on and to let you know it is just temporary! I got served divorce papers a couple of weeks ago from my husband and that has not been a fun experience. We have been having trouble and have been separated for some time - but it didn't actually seem real until that very moment. It has hit me hard and has been a very difficult time. I am going to attempt to get some of my stuff that I made several weeks ago posted on here (woohoo for a camera to use LOL) by this weekend. I have the day off work tomorrow, it is desperately needed. Thanks for listening to my sob story. :)

Hello All!

Lots of craziness going on at my house (good and bad)!!!! I am so glad that the girls are back in school, I am loving being back in a routine. I am seriously dying without a camera, but a friend of mine has graciously offered to let me borrow hers for a bit - I will be getting it by the weekend! Woohoo!!!! My Favorite Things is coming out with so many adorable new sets and I am excited that I will finally be able to share some of my creations with you!! The newest releases will premiere on October 1 - so keep your eyes peeled! I came across a thread yesterday that Kim from MFT sent to me - it's for a My Favorite Things Swap on SCS! If It Wasn't For Bad Luck..............

I wouldn't have any luck at all! Over the last 3-4 weeks, I have had nothing but what seems like trouble or just plain ole' bad luck! If it's gonna happen, it's gonna happen to me. LOL I have so many new amazing stampsets to play with and have made a couple of really cute cards, but my stinkin' digital camera is still out of commission. I never realized how much I relied on my camera!! I need a NEW one desperately!!! I think until I can get a new one I am going to have to find one to borrow. I have gotten a ton of emails telling me you all are going thru withdrawals and wondering where my new stuff is - well, don't worry - I'll post some as soon as I can get pics!

Swap ATC's

I wanted to post pics of some of my new cards I made for MFT, but my camera broke! I will have to wait for my daughter to come back in town so I can borrow hers :) In the mean time - here are some ATC's that I made in July for a swap that my good friend Laura Leonard was hosting. I haven't participated in any ATC swaps before, so this was my first. I can't wait to receive all the adorable ATC's from everybody in the swap. I have to tell you they were a lot of fun to make and didn't take any time at all. Cosmobella is my absolute fave of all the Bellas - I had a fabulous time paperpiecing her pants! I'm Back and I'm Still Alive!

Thanks sooooo much for all your emails, questions and concerns about where in the heck I have been the last couple of weeks! It was appreciated more than you will ever know. There was a family emergency I had to tend to and hopefully now things will get back to normal! I have been unable to stamp the last few weeks and I am so ready to dive back in! A huge thank you to a few of my best blogging friends - Laura, Shannan, Susan and Kirsten - your emails and friendship mean a lot! I also got several emails from some gals letting me know that they thought I was a Rockin' Blogger - thanks so much and I will post the Rockin' Blogger badge on my blog!!

Since I have been unable to stamp in a while, I found this card that I made back in June using my My Favorite Things Bundles of Bouquet stampset and realized that I never posted it here. It's Your Day!

This is my Favorite Stamping Bella............Cosmobella!! Isn't she just the cutest?? I love paperpiecing her outfit, it's so much fun! You can't tell from the picture - but I used my Stardust pen to add polkadots to her shirt - definite bling IRL! The DP is Tres Jolie and I used my Doodle This stampset to add a little something to the background. Yes, I know - I cannot put down my corner rounder and stop making scalloped edges!! I really try, but I always reach for it lol I didn't make this card for anybody in particular, just to have in my stash - you can never have enough of those. I opened up my email this morning to find an amazing short letter from this lovely lady from one of the stamping magazines that we all adore! At first I wasn't sure what I was getting an email for, but then quickly realized she was asking/inviting me to submit some of my cards for publication. She said she is an avid reader/fan of my blog. WOW - me! I know a lot of you girls out there submit your work often, but it really hadn't crossed my mind until now to do the same. *big grin* I guess I will get some of my work together and see what happens!

If you haven't been over to PAPERTREY INK and seen the new stampsets that were unveiled yesterday then you have got to hurry over and see!!! They are absolutely amazing!! I have already placed my order and can't wait for them to arrive! :)

My Little Brilliant Bluebird

The very first time that I saw this Rhonna Farrer bird I fell in love with it - I think it's just adorable. I looked everywhere for one, but to no avail! Then low and behold I won this little beauty from Sara Moore's blog! woohoo!! This was my card for my stamp club swap this month - I whipped these out in no time at all. I colored the image using a paintbrush, water and my inkpads - supah simple! I added a little sparkle to my bird and the center of the flowers using stickles.

Card for Stamp Club

This is the card I designed for my stamp club this weekend. I decided to use the SU! Polka Dots and Petals and Circle of Friendship. Both of these sets are a blast to play with - you can do so much with them. I used Cameo Coral, Certainly Celery and Chocolate Chip together - what a great color combo! Wow, I had been missing playing with my SU! stamps - they have some of my most favorite stamps!! Oh gee how I love my paper piercer too - I pretty much try to use it on all of my cards in one way or another! *wink* I am really bummed that SU! started selling their grosgrain ribbon in 15 yard spools instead of 25 yard spools!!! I LOVE my grosgrain ribbon and use it all the time!!! I also can't believe that you can't get chocolate chip grosgrain in the 1/4" anymore - what the heck is up with that? I use a ton of that! *boohoo* okay, well enough of my ranting and raving. I hope you all had a fabulous weekend - I am now counting the days until my vacation (only 2 weeks away). I am not going anywhere this year - just relaxing!

MFT Birthday!
My friend's birthday is coming up and I decided to make her a special birthday card using my new It's Your Birthday stampset from My Favorite Things. I love, love, love to use the Tulip Puffy Paint for the icing - makes it look realistic! I used the Faux Ribbon Set from Papertrey Ink for the backgrounder. The layout inspiration is from SC126 on SCS - I FINALLY decided to try one of the sketch challenges. I think the card turned out great and I love pink and black together! I finally Inked Up Green Thumb!
Yep, I have had this adorable Green Thumb stampset from Papertrey Ink for quite a while now and just had too many other stamping obligations and hadn't had the time to break it in. Hot Stuff from My Favorite Things

This is another supah set that Kim from My Favorite Things sent to me to make some cute stuff for the design team. I LOVE this set!!! It is absolutely TDF! I paper-pieced the dress and used my SU! corner rounder to make the scallop edge at the top of the card. I had a blast making this card and I think this is my new favorite color combo - I am gonna have a tough time not wanting to use it for everything! I am off work for a few days for a mini-vacation - stamping, stamping and more stamping.

Hit The Beach!
Hello! Sorry I haven't posted in several days, had a few technical difficulties! :) I absolutely adore this new stampset by My Favorite Things - it's called Hit The Beach! This set will debut on the website on July 1! While I was putting this card together I was trying to decide what I could do differently to make it stand out. Hmmm..........then it came to me - an umbrella! Then the hard part came of figuring out how to make it look like a real umbrella! This is what I came up with. I cut two circles with my Creative Memories Cutting System - then cut them in half. I used my corner rounder with the guide off to create the scalloped edges, drew some lines on the top with my marker and added a "pole" and voila! I used some larger dimensionals that I got from Hobby Lobby to give the umbrella a 3-d effect. I had some craft sand that I got a couple of years ago and wanted to use it for the background - this gave me a reason to try out my essential glue pad I got from Anna Wight a while back.............worked like a charm! I think this card turned out really great and I love the look of the umbrella! :)

Tent Topper
I absolutely love these Tent Topper cards! These great cards were the ingenious idea of the very talented Michelle Wooderso n - here is the link to her original Tent Topper post!! This is the tent topper card that I designed a while back for my stamp club to make. These cards fit into a standard size A2 invitation envie just beautifully.

I decided it was time for me to post a new picture of myself - I have lost 25 pounds and I must say that this new picture of me looks waaaay better than the one I had posted lol It is amazing what a difference losing 25 pounds will make!! I feel better, look better and most importantly I got to go out and buy some new clothes that were two sizes smaller lol I still have 15 more pounds to go. On another note, I am also the proud new owner of a brand spankin' new vehicle!! I decided with gas prices it was time to get rid of my '04 suburban and trade it in for something smaller and better on gas - I went with an '07 Kia Sorento - you can't beat their 10 year, 100,000 mile warranty. I will post a pic of my new ride when it stops raining here and I can actually wash it. :)

Birthday Bella

Yep, this is the very first Bella I have gotten to stamp. I have 3 or 4 Bellas and just got the chance last week to get some ink on them. They are just precious - I love them and they are so much fun to color! I used my SU! markers to color her in and used my brown Prismacolor Pencil/Gamsol for her hair. You can't tell in the photo, but there are stickles on the cake for just a little bit of sparkle. These were cards that were mass produced for some altered lunchtins I have been working on so I tried to keep them somewhat simple. If you don't have any Bellas you sure need some - you can get yours here!

Caribbean Lady!

My sister Kimberly called me this morning and said she was mad and I asked her why and she said she checked my blog AGAIN today and there still wasn't anything new posted - so here it is Kim. lol I am so totally in love with the Little Lady set from Papertrey Ink - it's just adorable and you can do so much with it! If you don't have this set already you definitely need it! I decided to use Cool Caribbean instead of the usual red and I love the result. I used my new Versamagic Chalk Inks that I got from Eclectic Paperie - they seriously rock! The chalk inks are absolutely perfect for clear stamps - you get great coverage. I can't believe I waited so long to order them.

Tea-Rific!

That is what this little teacup is - Tea-Rific! :) I have a couple of coffee/latte stamps, but I didn't have a teacup stamp......until I got this cutie patootie from Hambo Stamps. I colored the cup and mat with my prismacolor pencils and gamsol then added a little sparkle with my sakura stardust pen (hard to tell in the picture). This would be a great card to send to a friend for a little pick-me-up! My stamping obligations have finally started lightening up some, I can see daylight - teehee! I so do not mind being busy making cards and altered items for people - I love to see them excited when they get their stuff and it's exactly what they wanted! I work my day job (to support my habit of course), and stamp pretty much every night of the week - it's a sickness for which I want no cure! :) Tomorrow I will be posting some Blogger RAK's I have received.

Mass Produced Cards
Hello All - it's been a crazy week for me - I have been stamping away and getting a bunch of card orders and lunchtin orders finished up - I am now in the home stretch! This is one of the cards that I mass produced for some of the altered lunchtins. It's a great looking card, but easy to mass produce. I totally love the DP which is Magnolia - their paper rocks! Chocolate Covered Strawberries

I have been busy this weekend getting all the end of the year teacher gifts made. This supah cute gift set I made with the PaperTrey Green Thumb stampset - I LOVE THIS SET! It was just perfect for the chocolate covered strawberries that I am making to give as gifts. The container is the container the strawberries come in at the store - I just washed it out and then altered it to match the card. It will look so adorable once I get the chocolate strawberries in it!! I stamped the strawberries in Real Red ink and then stamped just the edge in Chocolate Chip Craft Ink - voila! I am also making cookies to give - those will go in cello bags with a ribbon and tag attached. Hope you all are having a fabulous weekend!

Hello! Yes, I am still here and I'm still alive - I have received several emails asking those questions lol I had a great Mother's Day Weekend - I was so busy around the house - cleaning, yardwork and of course some stamping - I haven't gotten anything completed that I can post here yet so I decided to post a picture of two of my daughter's that I took a week ago. Mother's Day Card
This is the Mother's Day Card that I made for my mom and my grandma this year - it turned out just like I wanted it to! I have never used this color combo before - I know, what is wrong with me?! lol My SU! Stamp Club order arrived yesterday and when I pulled my paper out of the box, these colors were together and that's how I decided what colors to use for my mom's card. I hadn't really intended on waiting until the last minute to get my card done, but time just slipped away from me. I have lots of projects to get completed, so I'll be stamping my heart out this weekend (well, with the exception of stopping to mow the lawn and work in the flowerbeds) *wink*

Who Wants Chocolate?
Cake that is! lol I just LOVE this flower cake stamp from My Favorite Things! I was looking thru my DP and came across my SU! Au Chocolat and the lightbulb went off to make this card all chocolate! I think it turned out pretty darn cute and I absolutely love that DP! I decided to slide a "levi tab" in on the side with the sentiment stamped on it.

You Take The Cake!

This is one of the cutie-patootie stamps that came with the set I received from MFT the other day. I love it - I knew the first time I saw it that it was a must have for my collection! I especially love any excuse to use my Tulip Puffy Paint (which I think nobody should be without lol) - the icing on the cake gave me the perfect opportunity to pull it out - makes it look yummy! :) I really love Tempting Turquoise and Real Red together and haven't used them in forevah! I colored the dress and the cake with my Prismacolor Pencils and blended them with Gamsol - love that stuff! I have LOTS of new stamps coming my way from both of the companies I design for - so be prepared to be blown away! :)

I have had this adorable Hambo stamp for a while now and just now had the chance to get some ink on it. Isn't it the cutest? I had so much fun coloring him with my prismacolor pencils. Birthday Blossom

I got my order in from Lizzie Anne Designs last week, but didn't get a chance to play with it until last night. This flower is from the set Blissful Blossoms and it is TDF! I LOVE these stamps - the images are so crisp and clear when you stamp them. My sister ordered a couple of altered tins w/cards for birthday gifts this week and this is one of the cards that will show up in the tin. I really like how it turned out. The polkadot background stamp is Cornish Heritage Farms (and is a must have!) and the sentiment is from Papertrey Ink! SCS Arlington, Texas Stamp Day

I returned last night from the SCS Arlington Texas Stamp Day and about all I can say is WOW! I had such a fabulous time! This is the card and name badge that I made for the swap. Emily Giovanni and Jackie G. did a way fabulous job of coordinating the event. I was blown away! I got to get together with so many of my amazing SCS friends and stamp.........and of course there was chatting, picture taking, lots and lots of laughs and of course special bonds made! :) The cards were all wonderful and I had the best time. The food - spectacular! I forgot my camera (boohoo!) but Robyn, Shannan and Susan came to my rescue and took a bunch of pics. for me - as soon as I get those I will post them on here for all of you to see. I Was Tagged!
I have been tagged by my good friends Laura and Shannan (there are a bunch of others that have tagged me too!)

1. I am very OCD about making my bed when I get out of it in the morning! It's the first thing I do when I get up - I can't stand an unmade bed. I also am OCD about cleaning up the dinner mess - I have a bad habit of cleaning up BEFORE anybody is completely finished - oops! lol

2. I am an addict of Soapnet channel on satellite.......I watch EVERY stinkin' one of the soap operas! I know, isn't that crazy?! LOL I started watching young and the restless/days of our lives years ago - but then when I found Soapnet it just became a sickness. Every night I stamp and watch my soaps LOL

3. I have been married twice - this go around for 13 years - my husband and my ex-husband went to school together.

4. We have an insane amount of computers/printers in our house! There is a computer/printer in every room of our house (well excluding the bathroom lol). My entire family are computer junkies. Our computers are networked like in an office - my husband is anal like that.

5. I have been on a diet for the last 3 months - finally successfully!! I have attempted this several times without any luck. I am down 18 pounds - go me! I am simply counting calories and no cokes or sugar - pretty hard at first, but now it's a breeze! Only 20 pounds more to go!

6. I have always had a knack for typing - it started when I was in 7th grade. I could already type 75wpm error free and was in several contests in high school and won first place ribbons - I know how ridiculous does that sound? *heehee* These days I can currently type 135wpm - I guess luckily for my "day job that supports my stamping habit" I can really belt out the work!

7. I cannot stand cats - but I have a cat named Sammie that I dearly love! (is that weird?) I haven't liked cats my entire life but a couple of years ago some friends of ours had a cat that was about 6 or so months old - they were moving out of state and couldn't take the him. My husband said we could take him (he is a cat lover) - i was like OMG - absolutely not! That cat isn't coming into my house! Well he started letting him come in, then it was he was in the majority of the time (we were trying to get him used to our house), then I was having to open up food for him and fill his water bowl, etc. The next thing you know the cat is sitting in my lap, I am feeding him, talking to him etc. - now he is my LOVE! LOL but I still don't like cats!

I am still alive, I have been working fast and furious on my cards and doorprize for the Arlington Shoebox Swap that Emily Giovanni is hosting in Arlington this weekend. Robyn and I will be attending and we are sooooo excited! I have had to put my other stuff on the backburner and haven't been able to stamp just for me..........but hopefully after this weekend I will be back on track!

Cards for the Troops Card Contest!
I recently received an email from my supah talented friend, Kyla Maestas about a Card Contest she is having on her blog - these cards will go to the soldiers over in Iraq. Kyla invited me to be a judge for the contest, well of course I gladly accepted her invitation! :) Kyla and myself were both contacted by Debbi Dresser about helping with a Cards for Troops project and Kyla came up with the amazing idea of having a card contest on her blog. There are going to be several supah, supah cool prizes for the winners of the contest--Several SU Gift Certificates and even one from Eclectic Paperie (i just love that store!). Birthday Blooms
I have been behind in posting my creations - wait let me re-phrase that - I have been way behind in not only posting, but creating! *wink* I sat down last night and created this cute card (actually a set of 4) that will be put into a goodie basket filled with a post-it-note holder, a beaded pen and an altered notebook. It's for a benefit and will be raffled off. I love, love, love my Big Blooms set from the SU! Spring Mini - it has become one of my fave sets! I got my inspiration for the cute little grass sprigs at the bottom from the amazing Debbie Olson - she rocks! You take the stem, turn it upside down and stamp along the bottom - voila - grass! I have gotten a ton of Blogger RAK's - they are amazing! For all of you that have sent them to me, I thank you a million - I PROMISE I will get them posted on here, I definitely want to show them off - I'm just BEHIND! :)

I'm not MIA!

I have been saying for a couple of weeks now that I have been swamped with card orders, tin orders and swap cards and haven't had much time to breathe - well here is one of the cards I have been working on. This wedding invitation is for a friend of mine and Robyn's that is getting married in June. I was asked to come up with a couple of card choices for her and this is the one that she chose. There are 100 of these to complete and I'm halfway there. I love Blush Blossom and Vanilla - they are so elegant looking. The inside of the card will contain a sheet of vellum with the wedding info. on it - I will get to that in the next week or so. Once these are completed we have to get started on the RSVP cards that will be included. Today is stamp club meeting day and I decided to go with a tri-fold card project for everyone - I will share that card with you in the next day or two. I hope you all are having a wonderful weekend!

A Piece of Cake!

I finally had a few spare moments to create somethin' cute for Hambo Stamps, I have been falling behind in my design team duties!! I have been supah, supah busy and haven't known whether I am coming or going. *ugggh* I absolutely loved this slice of cake when I saw it and knew I had to have it - and that sentiment just goes perfectly with it! I don't want to be an enabler..........what am I talking about sure I do........go to hambostamps.com and get your cake slice stamp and this adorable sentiment to go with it! Tell Monica that Kendra sent you! The background paper was created with background stamps from Cornish Heritage Farms - the reverse polkadot background and the polkadot background (looks just like DP doesn't it?).......Debbie Olson enabled me to buy them!!! Au Chocolat & Basic Grey Card Tins

These are the two card tins that I had to finish tonight - they have to be delivered tomorrow. I am super happy with the way these turned out. They are filled with 15 different cards for birthday, friendship and thank you. My co-worker ordered these for birthday gifts, I hope she loves them as much as I do. It feels really great to get something accomplished, but then I realize I still have a ton of work ahead of me. :) Robyn and I will be getting started on Wedding Invitations for our girlfriend - about 200 to be exact! We have several weeks to get them completed. Hambo Flower Thanks

Yet another cute card I designed for Hambo Stamps! I love this little flower pot - the pot and the flower are separate stamps (there are two other flowers that go with it!) I absolutely loooovvveee cool caribbean and chocolate chip together - two of my fav's! I made extra's of this card to put in some lunchpail tins that I am altering. Cute stuff! I adore my cuttlebug - the embossing folders just completely change the look of a card. :) I am trying to work on some new stuff to post, but I have been soooooo swamped with card orders, lunchtin orders and swap cards that I can't even see straight! I always overcommit myself, but I wouldn't have it any other way - I think I work better under pressure!

Happy Cupcake Day!

This is another dahling stamp from Hambo Stamps! It is actually just a single cupcake - I masked and stacked the cupcakes. I think they are so cute that way! Love, love, love the cuttlebug background embossing folders - they rock! I watercolored the cupcakes with my Prismacolor Pencils and Gamsol - then added stickles to the sprinkles.

This card is perfect to add to my birthday card stash - I have been running low.

Well I just got back from my birthday dinner out with the girls and I thought I would post the pics of our fabulous time! We had a great meal, LOTS of laughs and of course alcoholic beverages!
